We’re a Smallholding on the border of West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester. We offer farm experiences from an hour visit to cuddle the lambs and the chickens to a two hour session where we’ll discuss a bit more detail about the care of the animals and how we farm the land. We will also take you up onto the Saddleworth hills with our sheepdog to round up the sheep and carry out some of the many jobs we have to do on the farm. We will be doing sessions for lambing, shearing, scanning and tupping.

We now have 36 Pedigree Ryeland Sheep – they are a heritage breed and so take much longer to grow than the modern commercial breeds. They are hardy and stay out all winter and they eat almost exclusively grass. They love interacting with people and saying hello and love a treat.”
We have mostly sheep, but also a few chickens that lay eggs and a couple of ducks. We also have a lovely sheepdog Bluey. He loves to round up the sheep, but he’s also very friendly and likes to play.

We are registered and licenced by Oldham Council to exhibit animals. (Animal Welfare Licence Number: AWL0009 ).
We are registered with Oldham Council as a food and catering business and received a 5 star rating at our first inspection in October 2025.
